No shocking result in a game whenGroningen smashed at home BAL Weert 85-61 on Saturday. Groningen forced 22 BAL Weert turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including 18 on the offensive glass. American swingman Evan Taylor (198-2001, college: Vanderbilt, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Kjeld Zuidema (194-2001) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Groningen players scored in double figures. Senegalese-French forward Kara Sene (199-2006) responded with 16 points and guard Roel Van Overbeek (189-2000) scored 6 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
